STSZ
STSZ stands for 'Suruga Take Sensuji Zaiku' which is unique and traditional bamboo craft technique in Japan with around 200 years history. Suruga region is around 180km west of Tokyo and located at the foot of Mt. Fuji.
The most characteristic point of STSZ is round bamboo sticks to be used as raw material though almost all bamboo crafts in Asia are made of flat sticks.
Now, 12 artisan groups in Suruga are making full use of supple but robust nature bamboo sticks to provide customers with detailed artistic crafts.
Because natural material bamboo is, change of beauty, serenity, distinctive texture and glossy color across the ages could be fun.
